Greta Pratt
Greta Pratt is the author of three monographs, In Search of the Corn Queen (Smithsonian National Museum of American Art, 1994), Using History (Steidl, 2005), and The Wavers (Blue Sky Books, 2014) along with the upcoming Nineteen Lincolns (Peanut Press 2020). Public collections include Smithsonian American Art Museum, The Museum of Fine Art, Houston and The Museum of Contemporary Photography, The Minneapolis Institute of Art, and the Chrysler Museum, among others. Her work has been exhibited internationally at the Beirut Art Center, the Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival, and GAMU gallery in Prague, Czech Republic, as well as nationally at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Mattress Factory Museum, Museum of Contemporary Photography, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art and the Park Ave Armory, New York.
Pratt was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and her photographs have been featured in Art in America, The New York Times Magazine, and The New Yorker. She is represented by Candela Gallery in Richmond, VA.
