Susan Rosenberg Jones

For my contribution to A Yellow Rose Project, I considered the efforts of the brave and determined women of the suffrage movement, who fought for the rights for all women to have an equal voice in the democratic process. While it is inspiring to look back at those before us who bravely spearheaded the movement, our work is not done. I have been photographing women who are activists today; women who, perhaps buoyed by their dedicated forebears, are proudly working for equal rights and representation for women especially, as well as for all living things on this planet.
